Last month the Council emailed practitioners regarding competencies and standards being reviewed to better align with contemporary cultural competence, cultural safety and hauora Māori standards.
In advance of consulting on proposed changes, the Council invited practitioners to register for a series of regional meetings and webinars to take place once the consultation had been released.
We received a small number of registrations, many of which were for the webinars. To better align with demand, we are switching to a full series of webinars.
We hope this means more practitioners will be able to join us.
It’s important we can still engage and answer all your questions at the webinars, so we will be inviting questions early.
We will open registration to a webinar series at the same time as releasing the consultation. This series will replace the previously planned series of meetings and webinars. The webinars will be later in the consultation period, so you will have plenty of time to consider the proposal and submit questions in advance.
Thank you to those that already registered. We appreciate your understanding so we make this engagement accessible for more practitioners.
We look forward to engaging with you shortly.
