Workforce analysis report 2020 to 2022
The workforce report for 2020 to 2022 is now available. It provides an overview of the oral health workforce based on data from the Dental Council registration system, practitioner workforce survey data and graduate data from Aotearoa universities.
This data helps inform workforce planning and policy setting.
We are pleased to have richer, higher quality data this year, following some structural and collection changes.
One of the key differences is reflecting all of a practitioner’s scopes and different practising statuses held, not just their highest scope level. We’ve also been able to increase our understanding of how practitioners are working, with practising data at multiple workplaces and across different clinical areas.
