Wellington remains at COVID-19 alert level 2, with rest of NZ at alert level 1
Minister Chris Hipkins announced today that Cabinet has extended the COVID-19 alert level 2 status for the greater Wellington region for another 48 hours. This will allow for more COVID-19 testing and results to gain greater confidence of no community transmission.
This means:
- The Wellington region (Wellington, Wairarapa and Kāpiti Coast) will remain at COVID-19 alert level 2, and continue to practise under COVID-19 alert level 2 guidelines for oral health services.
- The rest of New Zealand remain at COVID-19 alert level 1 and the COVID-19 alert level 1 guidelines for oral health services continue to apply.
At this stage, these levels will be in place until 11:59pm on Tuesday, 29 June.
