We are now receiving applications for registration and annual practising certificates (APCs) for new graduates of oral health practitioner programmes.
Our active accreditation monitoring over recent months has confirmed the 2020 cohorts of students are clinically prepared to graduate despite the COVID-19 disruptions this year.
We thank the education providers and their staff, for their ongoing commitment to deliver quality education, and acknowledge the students’ resilience during these uncertain times. We wish you well with your practising career.
New graduates can now apply online for an annual practising certificate.
You can check an individual's practising status under Find a registered oral health practitioner on our website to check whether an APC has been granted.
Please note that our office will be closed from midday Wednesday 23 December 2020 until Monday 11 January 2021.
Due to processing times associated with new graduate applications, where complete and correct hard copy documents are not received before 17 December 2020, these applications are unlikely to be processed until the New Year.
New graduate dentists may be eligible to register for the 2021 intake of the Ministry of Health voluntary bonding scheme if they intend to work for eligible hard-to-staff providers/practices after completing undergraduate studies in 2020 or early 2021.
Successful candidates may be eligible for bond payments totalling $50,000 (after tax) paid over five years. Registration of interest is expected to open in February 2021.
