Accreditation update
The University of Otago resubmitted its Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (oral and maxillofacial surgery) programme for accreditation.
At the Council meeting on 7 December 2020, the site evaluation team report and the accreditation committee’s recommendation were considered.
The Council granted accreditation to the DClinDent (OMS) programme until 31 December 2023 subject to a condition being met by 17 September 2021 and before students are accepted into the programme. The condition requires outplacements of the students for at least six months to ensure increased clinical exposure in some defined areas.
